MTM Engineering has an opportunity for a new Electrical Testing Manager to join our team in Slane.

The Role...

As a Testing Manager, you will work alongside our Quality team who currently manage the responsibilities of this role to oversee Electrical Testing across current projects within Ireland and Europe. Given the scope of the role, travel to sites around Europe will be required.

MTM Engineering is a market leading specialist electrical contractor that provides medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) cable installation, termination services, busbar, and containment solutions for a wide range of construction projects. Headquartered in Ireland, we deliver mission critical projects for a range of customers across Europe and beyond. Our expertise spans industry sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, critical infrastructure, and more.

Responsibilities...

• Work closely with the Quality department and back-office admin team to develop, lead and manage the current testing teams in place ensuring the efficient execution of electrical testing activities across multiple projects,
• Develop Testing Plans / ITP’s and agree testing process with clients prior to commencement including test record paperwork and naming conventions,
• Attend Project Kick Off meetings to align with project scope between MTM and the client for all testing and torquing requirements,
• Ensure all testing is documented accurately in line with test values, results and naming convention and shared to relevant stakeholders,
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to testing team leads and team members for further development,
• Develop, implement, and review testing protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local codes, and regulations,
• Conduct fault analysis and root cause analysis for any issues identified during testing for lessons learned,
• Work closely with the quality team to allocate manpower resources to meet project deadlines in line with client dates,
• Work closely with in house store team to inform them of tooling requirements for projects,
• Attend weekly team’s meetings on project updates lead by assigned contracts manager,
• Monitor team performance and maintain a high level of productivity in line with testing schedule and communicate to all stakeholders on testing progress,
• Provide regular updates to senior management on KPI’s such as testing status on projects and open issues and corrective actions,
• Travel overseas to projects to oversee project commencement and ensure all key responsibilities and process are in place and aligned with agreed testing scope and ITP until the project is completed.

The Person...

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with hands‑on testing experience on industrial construction projects
• A strong track record of managing Testing teams
• Familiarity with electrical testing standards, and compliance to IS10101
• IT Skills - Microsoft Office Packages.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience working on Data Centre projects would be beneficial.
