An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to join the Talent Development team at one of Ireland’s leading law firms.

In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of customised L&D programmes that support professional growth and enhance performance across the firm. The ideal candidate will bring proven hands‑on experience in Learning & Development, a passion for creating high‑impact learning solutions, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to meet the evolving needs of a fast‑paced, high‑performing legal environment.

Managed by the Talent Development team, the ALG School delivers a wide range of customised programmes that support the growth and success of our people.

Responsibilities

A Talent Development Specialist is required to take ownership of and manage customised ALG School programmes. This includes:

  • Managing internal stakeholders
  • Liaising with and managing external providers
  • Contributing to the design and planning of custom programmes
  • Being the key point of contact for participants
  • Co‑ordinating all aspects of assigned programmes, including:
    • Communications
    • Venue management
    • Invoice and file management
    • Collation of feedback

In addition, as a member of the Talent Development team, an L&D specialist is expected to:

  • Work on dedicated projects within the team structure.
  • Contribute to the firm-wide induction programme.
  • Take ownership of specific tasks that support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Actively maintain knowledge of L&D practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the initiatives provided by the ALG School.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high performing professional environment, with at least 2 years in an L&D role.
  • Proven ability to manage the planning and delivery of L&D programmes and events to an excellent standard.
  • Experience in facilitating within a learning environment an advantage.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of being adaptable and handling multiple responsibilities at one time.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Self-driven. Ability to work unsupervised as part of a team.
  • Proactive. Takes initiative rather than reacting to requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strive for excellent results.
  • A pragmatic and solutions orientated attitude to challenges.
  • Creative in their approach to developing impactful learning solutions.
