This job is ideal for a retail manager or Store Room Manager who enjoys working off the floor and running their own warehouse department. You will be working in a busy supermarket operation controlling large volumes of stock, with several large orders arriving daily including fresh foods. As the manager, it will be your job to uphold the standards, keep it running organised, and ensure the H&S and standards are maintained.

Salary between 34,000-38,000 DOE, full time position, pension and discount provided.

Responsibilities for this Store Room Manager Job

• Oversee the daily operations of the store room, including inventory management, checking in high volumes of stock, stock control, and order fulfilment.
• Ensure the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of all goods and supplies.
• Maintain a well‑organized and efficient store room, ensuring all items are properly labelled and stored in their designated locations.
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfil their stock requirements and maintain adequate levels of supplies – Train and supervise store room staff.
• Ensure they adhere to company policies and procedures, mainly Health & Safety.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Report any issues or concerns to management and propose solutions for improvement.

Requirements for this Stock Room Manager job

• Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
