A leading organization in care for young people seeks a Social Care Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care at their residential service in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. This role entails ensuring compliance with national standards and providing a safe, supportive environment for youth while managing staff responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have the relevant educational background, substantial experience, and a passion for helping young people thrive.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience working with young people (level 8 degree).
  • Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience working with young people (level 7 degree).
  • Full, clean, manual driver's license (valid in Ireland).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the care delivered to young people in the residential service.
  • Ensure care meets company policies, procedures, and national regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and appropriate environment for young people's development.

Skills

Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres

We are accepting applications for the position ofSocial Care Manager. This service is based inThurles, Co. Tipperary. The Manager carries responsibility for the care delivered to the young people living in the residential service and for the staff who deliver that care. S/he is responsible for ensuring that the care given meets with company policies and procedures and with national regulations and that the environment in which the care is given is homely, clean, safe and appropriate for the young people’s ages and stages of development.

To be considered for the role, interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

·A Bachelor or MA/MSc in any of the following fields: Social Care; Applied Social Studies in Social Care; Social Work, Social Care Management or related Social Care Qualification.

·Full, clean, manual driver's license (valid in Ireland)

·Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres

·Eligible to work in Ireland.

·Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, working with young people, if candidate holds a level 8 degree.

·Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience, working with young people, if candidate holds a level 7 degree.
