Job description

Due to continued growth in our business, we are seeking a Site Engineer to join our team on a large-scale road project in Roscommon. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on a high-profile infrastructure development and gain valuable experience with a leading civil engineering contractor.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of work.
  • Regularly check the setting out points, benchmarks and calibration of instruments and measuring equipment being used.
  • Carryout as-built surveys and records of completed works.
  • Management of Health, Safety & Environment matters of areas of direct responsibility.
  • Assisting in managing systems to record the quality of work completed, testing, workmanship, and materials.
  • Provide Engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries answered.
  • Complete daily diary sheets and photographic evidence as required.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring, and programming.
  • Control and minimise waste on site.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management essential.
  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience essential in civil engineering essential.
  • Strong knowledge of site management, safety regulations, and surveying.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
  • Full driving licence required.
