Qualifications

• Candidate should have a degree in Engineering or Science equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Machine Vision projects primarily with Cognex Insight Spreadsheet.
• Conduct code review/debugging of vision algorithms.
• Lead vision-related obsolescence upgrade projects.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Vision Engineer to join our client, a leading multinational lifesciences company on a permanent contract. This role will be based onsite at one of their major clients in Fermoy, Cork.

Role Requirements:

• Support the implementation of Machine Vision projects (mainly Cognex Insight Spreadsheet environment).

• The Vision Engineer will conduct code review/debugging of a wide spectrum of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms.

• Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision applications.

• Perform characterisation, optimisation, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.

• Collaborate with other internal functions (e.g., QA, Operations, Engineering).

• The Vision Engineer will standardise best machine vision practices across the site.

• Lead vision-related obsolescence upgrade projects.

• Provide vision training for engineering personnel.

Role Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent.

• Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent is desirable.

• Minimum 5 years of machine vision engineering work experience, preferably in a regulated high-volume automated manufacturing environment.
