About the Role

We are offering a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and ambitious Senior Transport Planner / Economist to join our Transport team. You will contribute significantly to delivering safe, high-quality, sustainable, and innovative solutions for our clients.

The successful candidate will work on various infrastructure projects across multiple markets, including some of Ireland’s most prestigious projects. You will play a leading role in project appraisal within multidisciplinary design teams and will be responsible for the delivery and quality of MCA elements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proficiency in traffic forecasting and analysis using advanced methodologies.
  • Conducting detailed transport data analysis to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Researching and analyzing transportation challenges and opportunities, developing transportation plans and policies, and evaluating project impacts.
  • Designing transportation infrastructure such as roads, railways, and bike lanes.
  • Collaborating with engineers, urban planners, and policymakers to integrate transportation solutions with land use planning for sustainable development.
  • Providing technical oversight and reviewing work of junior team members.
  • Using transport modelling and analysis tools (advantageous).
  • Analyzing complex data sets to develop innovative solutions and improve processes.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Maintaining clear communication with team members and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentoring and guiding staff to foster professional growth.

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Planning, or a related field.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in transport planning for large-scale infrastructure and local authority schemes.

• Chartered or professional accreditation is desirable but not mandatory.
