Job Description- Senior Structural Design Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Structural Design Engineer based in Dublin. The Senior Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out structural calculations, conducting structural analysis, engaging in structural engineering tasks and manage a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects
  • Knowledge of varied European conditions will be advantageous including seismic design
  • Daily responsibilities include utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as SCIA, collaborating with design teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards
  • Chartered status advantageous- the company will also actively support the employee with achieving this status
  • Role will involve liaison with architects and other design team members, attendance at client meetings, presenting updates and deliverables to clients
  • Candidate will be required to report on project progress to management
  • Site visits for monitoring of works for progress and quality will be required

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Calculations and Structural Analysis
  • At least 7 years’ experience in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency in computer design software
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a hybrid remote and on-site environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
  • Chartered status is advantageous
  • Experience with projects outside of Ireland is a plus
