Job description

My client is currently looking to hire an experienced SAP EWM Consultant to be part of a growing SAP team as well as take on a great career growth opportunity. They are a growing global IT multinational at the forefront of innovation and transformation.

The Role

As a Senior SAP Extended Warehouse Management Consultant, you will be in a strategic position with regular changes. You will work on a project supporting a major utilities provider in Ireland. Your responsibilities include implementing business processes and developing solutions in supply chain execution based on SAP EWM. You will lead and execute full-cycle SAP EWM implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.

Analyze business requirements and design tailored EWM solutions to optimize warehouse management processes. Configure SAP EWM for inbound/outbound processes, inventory management, and warehouse tasks. Develop test scenarios, conduct system testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing), and ensure solution quality and performance. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend system enhancements to increase operational efficiency.

Skills/Experience Needed

• Extensive implementation/rollout experience with SAP EWM, including configuration and customization.
• Good knowledge of EWM architecture, inbound/outbound processing, physical inventory, and internal processes.
• Experience with storage types, warehouse process types, handling unit management, batch management, putaway and picking strategies, wave management, cross-docking, value-added services, and master data such as packaging specifications and product master data.
• Experience with Post Processing Framework and handling IDocs and queue processing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction across different project phases.
• Knowledge of standard SAP testing practices; experience with HP Quality Centre is an advantage.
• Experience working on large SAP projects across all project lifecycle phases.

Good to Have:

• Certification in S/4HANA is an added advantage.
• Leadership qualities are highly desirable.
