Overview

Senior RTR Accountant – Cork COE. As a Senior RTR Accountant, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant financial reporting for FMC’s Global business units, while also driving value-added activities beyond traditional accounting. This role goes beyond month-end close – you’ll partner with stakeholders globally, mentor colleagues, and contribute to ongoing projects in automation, systems, and process improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver complex R2R activities: reconciliations, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Manage month- and quarter-end close, ensuring compliance with deadlines and standards.
  • Support treasury (cash reconciliation, currency exposure) and income tax accruals.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements.
  • Work with global stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and provide analysis.
  • Contribute to system upgrades and automation projects (SAP S/4 HANA, Blackline, Alteryx).
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues within the team.
Your Profile / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years’ relevant accounting experience, ideally in a multinational or shared service environment.
  • ERP experience (SAP S/4 HANA an advantage), Blackline/Alteryx desirable.
  • Skilled in handling complex accounting issues and providing analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and solutions-focused.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues is an advantage.
