Senior Quantity Surveyor – Gorey, Co. Wexford

An established specialist contractor with operations across the UK and Ireland is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Wexford. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a long-term career path within a dynamic and engineering-led business.

Role Overview

You’ll oversee commercial and contractual activities across multiple construction packages, supporting financial delivery from pre-contract to final account. Working closely with the site and project teams, you’ll ensure cost control, risk management, and accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting

  • Administer contracts and manage subcontractor packages

  • Lead on valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Support procurement and supplier negotiations

  • Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress and measurements

  • Guide and support junior team members

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a QS role within construction

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

  • Knowledge of standard forms of contract (RIAI, JCT, NEC, etc.)

  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills

  • Confident communicator and team player
