Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced EU Finance Operation Center (Sr.) Manager to lead regional accounting team in Europe. This role will be responsible for driving process standardization, and ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant finance operations across JD’s European entities.

The ideal candidate is a CPA‑qualified finance leader with both consulting and in‑house experience—combining strategic transformation expertise with hands‑on operational management in a multinational setting.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Setup
  • Lead the design and establishment of the EU Finance Operation Center, including operating model, team structure, and governance.
  • Align the SSC framework with global finance strategy and local regulatory requirements.
  • Drive standardization, efficiency, and automation across EU finance processes.
2. Operational Management
  • Oversee daily finance operations including P2P, O2C, R2R, and T&E.
  • Ensure high service quality, accuracy, and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP standards.
  • Implement process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and manage a diverse team of finance professionals across multiple European markets.
  • Lead talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with business units to ensure effective financial support.
  • Serve as a key liaison between regional operations and global finance functions.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, vendors, and consulting partners.
5. Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, JD policies, and EU regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee risk management, audit readiness, and data protection (GDPR compliance).
Qualifications & Experience
  • CPA qualification (CA, ACCA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/GL experience, including:
    • 3–5 years in consulting (e.g., Big 4) with finance transformation or shared service experience.
    • Significant in‑house finance leadership within a multinational shared service or regional finance hub.
  • Strong understanding of EU finance operations, accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP), tax, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and automation tools (RPA, AI).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, cross‑cultural communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus.
