Job description

Location/Office Policy: Molesworth st., Dublin (Hybrid working – 2 days a week in the office, moving to 3 days in office from Jan 2026)

Background
  • Do you have a background in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, or data science and want to apply causal inference methods to shape how we engage and serve our customers?
  • Do you enjoy collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as economists, data engineers, marketing professionals, and business managers to design experiments and deliver actionable insights?
  • Do you have a drive to innovate and keep up with the latest econometric and machine learning techniques to deliver better insights?
What is the Role

The role reports to the Experimentation and Campaign Effectiveness team within the Chief Customer Office (CCO). It requires a strong understanding of statistical techniques and experimental methods to ensure the success of CCO initiatives (e.g., personalisation, lifecycle, and promotional campaigns). As a Data Scientist, you will contribute to designing experiments (A/B tests, online and field experiments) to measure campaign performance; deliver pre/post‑campaign analysis; and support the development of monitoring tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key accountabilities
  • Work closely with the CRM and Data Science teams to design, implement, and analyse experiments (A/B tests, online and field experiments). Provide subject‑matter expertise on causal inference, especially issues surrounding internal and external validity.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs), including ROI, uplift, conversion, and churn metrics and track them through the production and maintenance of dashboards.
  • Contribute to pre/post‑campaign analysis with clear commentary and recommendations. Ensure statistical rigor is applied to business recommendations.
  • Extract, transform, and clean the data required for modelling and analysis purposes.
  • Support the team in enhancing the efficiency of data pre‑processing, analysis, and reporting (e.g., increased automation).
What you Will Bring
  • A bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, or data science. The applicant must demonstrate a good understanding of experimental methods and micro‑econometrics.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a quantitative analytics role.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, SAS Visual Analytics, QlikView, or Tableau.
  • Strong ability to communicate analytical insights into clear business recommendations for all levels in the organization.
  • Inclination to innovate and proactively keep abreast of the latest techniques. Knowledge of machine learning methods for estimating heterogeneous treatment effects would be a bonus.
