Overview

We are seeking a Highly experienced Senior Data Architect (Data Architecture Lead Analyst - C13) with strong hands-on experience in developing conceptual, logical and physical data models for Issuer Services. This role will focus on designing and implementing strategic, state-of-the-art data solutions within Citi's data governance framework. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data architecture principles and a proven track record of developing large-scale data models that cater to multiple lines of business.

Responsibilities
  • Design modern, scalable data architectures using Cloud and On Premises Solution
  • Develop conceptual, logical, physical models, establish and enforce data governance, lineage and metadata management practices
  • Lead integration efforts across multiple data sources including transactional systems, APIs, data lake and streaming data
  • Define model and rationalize target state architecture, socialize with key stakeholders and conduct walkthrough
  • Determine database structural requirements by analysing issuer business, applications and data from existing systems
  • Participate in requirement engineering and working groups and collaborate with business leads, operations, SMEs, technologists and governance teams
  • Incorporate data standards and implement governance model
  • Develop data flows, ownership matrices and data lineage
  • Implemented physical data model, contribute to the system and operational design, carry out optimization for usability and performance
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
  • Develop architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level
  • Design and maintain blueprint of the information architecture, data integrations and controls aligned to the renewed business strategy
Qualifications
  • Significant hands-on experience in Data Architecture, Data Science and/or Data Modelling expertise
  • Hands-on experience in Hive, Hadoop, Impala, Tableau, Kafka, BI Tools, Scala, highly preferred
  • Good knowledge of relational/OLTP/OLAP/Big Data concepts
  • Good knowledge of modelling and architecture tools such as Magic Draw, Erwin etc.
  • Experience in modelling and building complex IT systems
  • Expertise in Data Management methodologies involving architecture, modelling, storage, security
  • Good understanding of data governance - defining strategy, developing goals, principles and policies
  • Prior experience in data integration, interoperability and data quality solutions
  • Analytical and problem solver, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience in financial services especially the security market
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Certification in Data Architecture / Modelling is a plus
