A reputable IT services company in Ireland is seeking a Senior Azure & Windows Administrator to enhance a critical hybrid cloud environment. The role involves managing Azure resources, Windows Server environments, and Active Directory. Candidates should have proven experience with Azure administration, familiarity with compliance standards, and skills in PowerShell. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Azure & Windows Administrator to manage and enhance a robust hybrid cloud environment. This role will be central to ensuring high availability, performance, and security across both Azure and on‑premises infrastructures.
You’ll be joining a collaborative IT team, working closely with DevOps, Networking, and Security professionals to drive automation, streamline operations, and implement best practices in cloud and system administration.
Azure Administration: Manage and monitor Azure resources including virtual machines, networking, storage accounts, and security groups. Implement and maintain Azure governance policies, RBAC, and cost‑optimization strategies. Administer Azure AD (identity protection, conditional access, hybrid identity, Azure AD Connect). Automate deployment and maintenance using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.
Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments. Oversee patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for critical infrastructure. Manage DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
Active Directory Management: Design, maintain, and secure Active Directory environments (forests, domains, trusts, replication). Manage users, groups, and OU structures while enforcing security policies. Implement and audit AD security best practices.
Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure meets internal and regulatory compliance standards. Implement and monitor security controls and vulnerability management processes. Collaborate with Information Security teams on incident response and remediation.
Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain detailed technical documentation, configuration records, and procedures. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to support projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Proven experience managing Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and task automation. Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Azure AD Connect. Familiarity with backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions. Excellent analytical, and communication skills.
