Our client, a long-established and design-led architectural practice based in Kilkenny, is seekingto appoint a Senior Architect to join their team in a leadership capacity. This is a standoutopportunity for a highly accomplished architect to step into a key role within a well-respected,award-winning studio with a rich portfolio spanning both commercial and residential sectors.With a decades-long presence in the region and a reputation for delivering work of exceptionalquality, the practice handles high-profile residential schemes, bespoke private homes, andcommercial developments that are often both locally significant and design-forward. Projectstypically combine contemporary design values with a deep understanding of context, heritage,and craftsmanship.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple projects from early design through tocompletion. This is a hands-on role requiring a balance of creative leadership, technical rigour,and project management. You’ll lead client meetings, mentor junior staff, and collaborateclosely with consultants and contractors throughout the life cycle of each project.
Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 10–15 years’ post-qualification experience in a reputable architectural setting.
  • Must be registered with the RIAI or RIBA (or eligible for registration).
  • Strong design sensibility, with a portfolio that demonstrates attention to detail and conceptual clarity.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects through all stages.
  • Experience across both residential and commercial sectors is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit or equivalent BIM software is highly desirable.
  • Must be living in Ireland
Location & Package
  • Based full-time in the studio’s Kilkenny office
  • Salary and package are negotiable, depending on experience and portfolio.
