A governmental regulatory body in Dublin is seeking a Senior Analyst in the Consumer Policy & Protection and Legal Division. The role requires an Honours degree and at least 3 years’ experience in regulatory environments. The Senior Analyst will engage with stakeholders, lead consultations, and mentor junior staff while focusing on consumer empowerment in the retail energy market. This full-time position offers a starting salary of €60,680 and provides hybrid working up to 3 days per week.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid working: Up to 3 days per week

Tenure: Appointment will be on a permanent basis, subject to successful passing of the probationary period.
Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU)
The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) is Ireland's independent energy and water regulator. The work of the CRU impacts every Irish home and business ensuring safe, secure and sustainable energy and water supplies for the benefit of all customers.
The Senior Analyst will be placed in the Retail Markets Team in the Consumer Policy & Protection and Legal Division at the CRU.
The Retail Markets Team plays a central role in regulating the Irish retail energy markets within which several suppliers operate, served by network operators. The team’s focus is on ensuring that it develops retail energy policy in the best interests and protection of consumers whilst taking account of Irish/EU Legislation and government policies, to support and empower consumers.
The above list is not exhaustive. While the successful candidate will be assigned to a particular team within the CRU, they will also be expected to contribute to the work of the wider Division/CRU as requirements dictate.
