Reports to: Director
Our client is seeking a qualified, experienced Senior Accountant to join their small, dynamic team based in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who will take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring the smooth operation of all financial processes, while contributing to the business's growth and financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to optimise operational efficiency.
- Budgeting, Scenario Planning & Forecasting: Spearhead budgeting, scenario planning, and forecasting processes. Collaborate with various departments to support business planning and decision-making.
- Supply Chain Financial Management: Offer financial insights to optimise the end-to-end supply chain. Analyse the financial repercussions of supply chain inefficiencies.
- Regulatory Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to financial regulations. Facilitate and manage external audits.
- Costing & Margin Analysis: Regularly evaluate costs and product pricing to ensure competitive margins.
- Financial Risk Management: Evaluate and manage financial risks related to product prices, supply chain disruptions, or currency fluctuations. Implement hedging strategies where necessary.
- Additional Experience:
- Promotion & Sales Performance Monitoring: Evaluate marketing promotions' profitability and ROI. Support sales and marketing teams in developing promotional budgets and forecasts.
- New Product Development (NPD) Financial Analysis: Provide financial guidance during the NPD process and conduct post-launch reviews.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Engage with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, liaise with external investors, stakeholders, and suppliers, and lead and mentor finance staff.
- Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Financial Strategies: Develop financial strategies for DTC initiatives, considering logistics, pricing, and customer acquisition costs. Analyse the financial implications of DTC strategies and digital sales channels.
The Person
- Professional Certification: A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Experience: Post-qualification experience in accounting and financial management. Proven experience as a Senior Accountant. Experience in a high-growth business is desirable. Software proficiency and experience in process streamlining & automation.
