Our client, a family-owned specialist designer and manufacturer of packaged products in the wastewater/sewage sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all domestic sales, customer interaction, and quotations. They will work closely with directors, consulting engineers, and contractors, maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers remotely and in person, including presentations and relationship building with consulting engineers and contractors, aiming to establish the company as their design partner.
- Prepare quotations and customized process descriptions, liaise with design and manufacturing divisions, oversee installations, and ensure project completion and payments.
- Maintain relationships and performance after sales are completed.
- Report to the Directors and participate in management meetings, including the Management Review Committee and weekly sales meetings.
- Contribute to all areas of the business, including design and R&D.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team.
Core Skills and Attributes:
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through quality service.
- Monitor sales activity, pipeline, and performance against targets.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.
- Secure meetings with potential customers both in person and virtually.
- Attend sites as required and represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable mindset.
Qualifications:
- Third Level Qualification in Building, Business, or related areas (preferred).
- At least 3 years of sales experience.
- Experience and relationships within the Irish Construction Industry.
- Experience in the sewage/wastewater industry (preferred).
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Proven track record of generating profitable sales and building relationships.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
