Sales Manager at The Inn at Dromoland

The Inn at Dromoland is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the corporate and leisure sales activity and drive revenue growth for one of Ireland's renowned hotel destinations. This is a managerial role for an ambitious professional ready to step into leadership and make a real impact.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct day-to-day operation of the corporate and leisure sales function to ensure maximum revenue and profitability.
  • Provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service.
  • Identify and monitor sales trends throughout the year (peak and off-peak periods) and maximise opportunities.
  • Lead day-to-day sales activity including sales calls, contracting and rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, and client entertainment; may require evening and weekend work.
  • Develop existing and new tour operators (Series & FIT) for The Inn at Dromoland and target these companies in conjunction with the sales team and senior management.
  • Raise the profile of The Inn at Dromoland through networking and PR activities.
  • Collaborate with the Estate marketing team to manage advertising and promotional campaigns, with emphasis on wedding options.
  • Report weekly/monthly on account performance and general activity to the General Manager and Estate Sales Team.
  • Assist in preparing sales proposals and contracts tailored to client needs, outlining pricing, services, and terms to secure bookings.
  • Maintain client databases and records, tracking interactions, bookings, and preferences to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for FAM trips and site inspections for all market segments.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports tracking revenue, bookings, and conversion rates to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive offerings to inform sales strategies and target new opportunities.
  • Maintain the Inn at Dromoland's listing across partner sites and update fact sheets quarterly with new information on rooms, F&B, etc.
  • Source new corporate accommodation clients through proactive and reactive sales efforts.
  • Develop relationships with international tour operators through presentations, site visits, show rounds, and contract negotiations.
  • Update corporate databases and review check-ins to identify new and existing corporate contacts for Sales.
  • Work with the Estate Marketing team to compile collateral opportunities for each business segment.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years or more of hotel sales experience.
  • Results-driven, energetic, and focused.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent IT skills with an understanding of digital and social media marketing.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work assignments; flexible and well-organised.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing work demands.
  • Must be a car owner with a full clean driver's license; travel is required.
