Job Description / Responsibilities
  • Win distribution and drive rate of sale of a portfolio of world-renowned spirits in the Irish On-Trade and/or Off-Trade through structured selling techniques and activation programmes in key outlets within a territory.
  • Manage a core number of accounts within a territory to deliver On-Trade and/or Off-Trade brand building plans and activation programmes (e.g., activation, perfect serve, sampling, competitions, menu presence, brand visibility).
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including but not limited to: daily call-rate, distribution growth, rate of sale growth, volume targets, debt management.
  • Develop tailored solutions to meet consumer needs and establish expert status in the Spirits category; propose range using segmentation models.
  • Deliver brand training modules to educate trade professionals and collaborate with Brand Managers or Sales Managers as appropriate.
  • Record outlet information and activation delivery using provided technology; present relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets to achieve KPI targets (e.g., pouring accounts, listings, activation, distribution, NBD growth, ROS acceleration).
  • Identify opportunities via market intelligence and networking to target the right consumers.
  • Plan and manage the working day to ensure coverage at key trading times; this may involve evening work and travel within the core area.
  • Ensure customers are equipped to promote the Brand to consumers and can champion the brands.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key wholesalers.
  • Complete all administrative requirements on time and in full.
  • Demonstrate planning, organisation, effective communication, customer commitment, structure, business awareness, and self-development in daily activities.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • 1-3 years’ experience in sales within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience in alcohol sales is advantageous.
  • Broad knowledge of Irish On-Trade & Off-Trade with strong commercial experience, ideally in spirits.
  • Understanding of brand building and ability to execute commercial delivery.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop relationships at all levels.
  • Experience activating brands in On-Trade and/or Off-Trade.
  • Understanding balance between commercial delivery and brand-building agenda.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use data to interpret insights and build plans.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience delivering training/presentations.
  • Bartending/mixology/hospitality experience is an advantage.
  • Commercial and financial acumen with ability to build compelling customer propositions that drive brand growth.
