Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team—maintaining and optimizing technologies across the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

Purpose of the Job

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager is the site lead for all engineering matters within a building. Responsibilities include leading the team, building a culture of safety, ensuring statutory compliance, providing a high level of equipment availability, and working with the EU Engineering team to plan for future growth. The role also involves traveling, approximately 15% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the team, own annual reporting responsibilities, and mentor direct reports to develop technicians.
  • Work with the site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement, record, and audit safety and statutory compliance programs; assume legal responsibilities as the site engineering lead.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to fill allocated headcount with high‑quality, experienced staff, supporting Apprentice and Graduate programs.
  • Implement standards validated by the EU Engineering team and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain equipment failure contingency plans, coordinate rehearsals with affected parties, and respond flexibly to rectify failures or breakdowns promptly.
  • Maintain a long‑term focus by working with Site Management, Finance, the EU Engineering team, and internal design teams to plan for future growth, upgrades, or new equipment roll‑outs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience at Amazon.
  • Experience in employee and performance management.
  • Experience in distribution or manufacturing with equivalent mechanical or electrical field knowledge.
  • Experience in facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Experience in design review processes to incorporate electrical, mechanical, and automation control solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards.
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics.
