Google accountants are a savvy group handling core accounting responsibilities. You know accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You will advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports.

The Finance team at Google loves providing in-depth analysis on strategic decisions across Google products, from developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling automated financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with new changes to existing processes.
• Provide financial records and supporting documentation to auditors, and assist with the development of process cycle memorandums and procedural walk-throughs.
• Use data to extract meaningful insights and monitor the performance of different areas of a business.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• Experience performing SOX testing and SOX Readiness.

Preferred qualifications

• Certification in CIA/CISA/ ACCA.
• Excellent investigative skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive management.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent data analysis, risk assessment, organizational and problem-solving skills.
