Dairygold Co-Operative Society Ltd are seeking to hire a Retail and Grain Site Manager, based in Co-op Superstores, New Inn, Co. Tipperary. Relevant Qualification in Agriculture is essential. Retail qualification is desirable

The retail division of Dairygold, operates 26 retail stores across Munster, covering Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, and Clare. Job Summary

The Retail & Grain Site Manager will lead and manage all operational aspects of the site, ensuring optimal performance across grain, feed, fertiliser, farm requisites, and retail operations. This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a customer-focused approach to deliver exceptional service and achieve business targets.

A relevant agriculture qualification is essential, along with in-depth knowledge of grain operations, including intake, treatment, drying, and delivery processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning and executing harvest operations and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Grain Operations
  • Devise and implement harvest plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Oversee grain intake, treatment, drying, and delivery to optimise throughput of the milling and grain operations.
  • Liaise with Milling and Grain teams to ensure smooth operations.
Retail & Commercial Performance
  • Control and analyse sales performance for each department / category against budget so that store targets and key performance indicators are met and exceeded.
  • Monitor and drive sales performance against budget.
  • Maintain retail standards and customer service excellence.
Customer Focus (Dairygold Value: We Focus on Our Customers)
  • Lead and manage a strong customer-centric approach to deliver exceptional service.
  • Follow up on customer queries, orders, and scheduled deliveries.
  • Coach and support team members to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.

People Management
  • Lead a motivated, engaged & enabled team, ensuring team members are fully trained, competent and developed in their roles.
  • Identify training needs and foster a positive work culture.
Cost & Stock Control Management
  • Implement controls on overheads, wages, and stock systems.
  • Liaise with purchasing on pricing, availability and product update.
Health & Safety Management
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and environmental standards.
  • Promote a safety-first culture across the site.
Site Maintenance and Continuous Improvement
  • Drive operational efficiency and minimise downtime through proactive maintenance and process improvements.
  • Instil a continuous improvement culture across the site.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in agribusiness operations.
  • Proven expertise in grain operations and harvest planning.
  • Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Intact Agribusiness software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient and capable of managing tight deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Results-oriented and adaptable.
