Tayto Snacks is the home to Ireland's most iconic crisp and snack brands, including Tayto, Hunky Dorys, King, O'Donnell's and many others such as Hula Hoops, KP Nuts, Skips, Rancheros, and Meanies.

Located in Ashbourne, County Meath – just 40 minutes from Dublin city centre where 350 colleagues work at our state‑of‑the‑art production facility and Head Office, we process 30,000 tonnes of Irish potatoes annually (representing 10% of the Ireland's total potato crop) to make the nations favourite crisps. Position: Regional Sales Manager East of Ireland

Function: Commercial – Field Sales

Reporting line: Head of Field Sales Operations

Location: Region – East of Ireland

Role type: Full time permanent

Role overview:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for all aspects of sales operations within the east of Ireland region, including managing a team of Business Development Representatives and Market Developers.

The role holder will develop and execute sales strategies driving profitable growth and exceeding sales targets. They must be able to build and maintain strong customer relationships as well as be able to influence and negotiate to deliver results. This role requires a passionate and results‑oriented individual who embodies the Tayto Snacks values and is committed to achieving excellence in all areas of their work.

Key Responsibilities
People Management & Development
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of Business Development Representatives and Market Developers, providing coaching, guidance and ongoing development opportunities.
  • Set clear and achievable sales targets for the team and monitor progress closely.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages high performance and employee engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the People & Culture Business Partner on people related matters and projects.
  • Identify and develop high‑potential team members for future leadership roles.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team by fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales plans for key accounts within the region.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day sales activities of the team, including call planning, territory management and customer visits.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers within the region.
  • Understand customer needs and preferences, and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  • Negotiate and close deals with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer issues promptly and effectively.
Financial Performance
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action as needed to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Manage sales budgets and expenses effectively.
Brand Advocacy
  • Represent the Tayto Snacks brand professionally and positively in all interactions with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Embody the Tayto Snacks values in all aspects of the role, “Thinking Responsibly, Acting Entrepreneurially, Growing together”.

  • Experience managing a diverse high performing sales team with a range of experience.
  • High level of influencing skills internally within Tayto Snacks and externally with our customers.
  • Industry knowledge – candidates will ideally come from blue chip/FMCG performance orientated businesses.
  • Candidates will demonstrate extensive sales management and people management experience.
  • Business awareness – has a comprehensive understanding of developments in the retail sector, in particular trends impacting customer requirements and preferences.
