MC Group (mcgroup.ie) is a Killarney based quarry/construction company and is one of the largest independent quarry operators in the country with locations throughout Kerry and Cork. The company is a manufacturer of Ready‑mix Concrete, Concrete Blocks, Asphalt, Grolime, Stone & Aggregates, as well as having Resurfacing Crews located in Kerry & Cork.

The position which will be based at our Keim Quarry (Millstreet Co. Cork) is an exciting and varied role. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Sampling and testing a range of construction material products at our quarries and manufacturing plants including Aggregates, Asphalt, Lime, Ready‑mix, Steel Products and Insulation Products and taking responsibility for quality control of all products, ensuring certification is maintained within current legislation.
  • Liaise with auditing bodies such as NSAI.
  • Review and process customer approvals of concrete & asphalt mix designs and set up concrete & asphalt mixes to enable them to be batched.
  • Provide telephone and email support to Sales, Technical and Operations Staff as well as the customer base.
  • Complete routine reports as required by the Management Team.
  • Ensure that all activities under your control comply with the company quality management systems.
  • A recognised third‑level qualification in Civil Engineering, Concrete Technology & Quality Management is desirable.
