Who You Are

We’re looking for a hands‑on, product‑focused QA Lead to own quality across Indeemo’s platform. This is a player–manager role for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving environment - planning, leading, and testing alongside the team.

You’ll bring structure, clarity, and discipline to QA. You’ll ensure we ship stable, secure, and beautifully usable software by leading a small team (3 people), improving automation, and embedding a quality‑first mindset across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who’s both technical and organised - who loves getting into the detail of a release, can dig into logs or databases, and knows how to lead others with focus and accountability.

Your Day to Day

• Own and define Indeemo’s end‑to‑end Quality Strategy, spanning test governance, automation frameworks, release gates, and measurable QA KPIs aligned with product and engineering OKRs.
• Assess current QA maturity, design the roadmap for continuous improvement (people, process, tools, metrics), and guide evolution from ad‑hoc testing to a data‑driven, automated QA function - build and scale team capability.
• Lead and coach the QA team, setting standards for test design, automation coverage, and documentation discipline.
• Implement structured release management and quality gates, ensuring risk‑based testing, reproducibility, and traceability.
• Oversee automation strategy and coverage across web, mobile, and API layers; leverage AI/ML to increase test efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to embed QA early in the lifecycle - influencing architecture, requirements, and design decisions.
• Champion measurable quality metrics (defect leakage rates, automation coverage, mean time to detect/resolve) and use them to drive accountability across teams.
• Represent QA in leadership forums, articulating quality trends, release risks, and improvement plans at sprint reviews and management meetings.

What You’ll Need to Excel

• 10+ years of progressive QA experience, including 2+ years leading teams in a structured QA or quality management function within a SaaS, mobile, or cloud environment.
• Proven experience establishing or maturing a QA function, including test strategy design, automation framework selection, and process governance.
• Formal training and certification in QA/Test Management (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, Certified Software Quality Engineer, or equivalent).
• Technical fluency across modern stacks; React, Laravel (or equivalent PHP frameworks), RESTful APIs, MySQL/PostgreSQL, with a strong grasp of CI/CD, observability, and version control tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Demonstrated automation leadership - experience selecting, implementing, and scaling tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or Postman for end‑to‑end and API testing.
• Hands‑on experience with test management platforms such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray, including test planning, case management, and reporting integration with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building and interpreting QA metrics dashboards and translating them into business and engineering insights.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) and ability to integrate security into QA processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management. Confident working with engineering leads, product owners, and executives to align on quality outcomes.

Your first 3 months in the role, you will be required to be on‑site at our offices in Blackpool 4 days per week - Monday to Thursday. Once you have

completed 3 months with the team, you will have the option to scale back to 3 days per week on‑site.
