Job Title: Production Team Lead
Location: Monaghan, Ireland
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Evening Shift (Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM)
Salary: €40,000 - €50,000 (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Team Lead to join a well-established food manufacturing company based in Monaghan. This is a full-time, permanent role, working evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety within the production line.

The role requires a strong leader with a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of production staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in food manufacturing or production management looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations during the evening shift.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production operatives to achieve production targets, quality standards, and company goals.

  • Ensure all production processes comply with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and food safety protocols.

  • Manage production schedules, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all production tasks.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, quality control, and adherence to timelines.

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards by conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

  • Oversee the maintenance of production equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition.

  • Ensure that all necessary documentation, including production logs and safety records, are completed accurately and on time.

  • Work closely with other departments, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth coordination and communication across the production process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role within food manufacturing or production management.

  • Strong knowledge of production processes, food safety regulations, and quality control standards (HACCP, GMP).

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving production issues.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work evening shifts (Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM).

  • A background in managing production schedules, KPIs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
