Position

Overview

Bluedrop Medical is a fast-growing medtech company developing sensor-based technology to prevent diabetic foot ulcers—a leading cause of amputation worldwide. Our advanced imaging and sensor platform enables earlier detection of complications, supporting clinicians in delivering better outcomes for patients.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production & Logistics Planner to own demand planning; oversee material planning, production scheduling, tracking daily product performance and capacity management at our contract manufacturer; and coordinate US outbound finished goods logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning & Scheduling
    • In partnership with US commercial teams develop finished goods demand forecast.
    • Work with our contract manufacturer, through a monthly S&OP process, to assure supply commitment meets the demand forecast, e.g. Contract manufacturing raw material supply is confirmed, production capacity & shifts confirmed, daily planned production output meets the demand forecast, etc.
    • Work with the contractor manufacturer to ensure timely procurement of raw materials.
    • Monitor daily production performance to ensure monthly demand forecast will be achieved, and escalate as required within the organisation if likely supply disruption is imminent.
    • Provide production and delivery updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Logistics & Distribution
    • Plan and coordinate outbound logistics activities to US, through coordinating inventory levels with US commercial team, optimise sea vs. air freight channels to minimise cost without impacting product availability.
    • Liaise with contract manufacturer warehouse and 3rd party logistics teams to coordinate shipments and deliveries.
    • Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize cost, lead times, and service levels.
    • Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues.
  • Inventory Management
    • Ensure monthly demand forecast supports the revenue plan and the business inventory & safety stock targets.
    • Maintain optimal finished goods inventory levels while minimizing excess air freight of finished goods, and also raw material obsolescence at the contract manufacturer.
    • Proactively predict forward-looking inventory levels, assuming demand plans and commercial plans are achieved, thereby enabling the business to manage its working capital and cash flow.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure all planning and logistics activities comply with FDA medical device regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records for audits, traceability, and regulatory reporting.
    • Support risk management, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain planning operations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience, in Supply Chain, Production Planning, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in either a production, supply or demand planning role
  • Strong knowledge of ERP / MRP systems.
  • Understanding of FDA medical device regulations and Good Distribution Practices, that are relevant to planning & logistics areas of responsibility.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for demand/supply planning.
