Our client is a growing Irish company operating within the services sector. They are in the process of bringing their accounts back in-house and this role will work alongside the Financial Controller in a finance team of seven. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Part-Qualified Accountant to make a move to industry and gain significant exposure across all areas of finance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by analysing financial data.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations on financial performance.
  • Post accurate journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts (bank, tax, intercompany transactions).
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve financial processes and support automation projects.
  • Record capital expenditures and maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create financial models, and generate reports.
  • Help develop and maintain internal financial controls and policies.
  • Prepare and file tax returns as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Part- Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant
  • Experience using Sage 50 software is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel
  • The candidate should be a high-energy individual with excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
  • Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of a team and on own initiative, and good interpersonal skills
