Network Specialist

The Network Technician at Sentia (Aeven Group company) is responsible for building, operating and maintaining the day‑to‑day operation of the Sentia data networks. These duties include but are not limited to configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software related platforms.

The Network Technician works closely with other technical members in the technology department, both on building, optimising and troubleshooting the infrastructure. Besides the internal projects, the Network Technician is also closely engaged in customer deliveries, both in implementation, changes/incidents and troubleshooting.

This role can include participating in on‑call duties after normal opening hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, improve and operate data networks
• Responsible for updating and maintaining documentation
• Troubleshoot data network issues
• Implementation of new network devices and/or services
• Restore faulty network hardware components
• Supporting daily operations and activities via Sentias ITSM system
• Consulted on establishing root causes of network/service disruptions
• Participating in on‑call duties when deemed necessary by the manager

Qualifications

• Minimum 3‑years of hands‑on experience in data networks (preferable Fortinet CSS or higher qualification)
• Experience / in‑depth knowledge with a wide variety of Fortinet Products: Fortimanager, Fortigate, Fortiswitch, FortiAP, FortiADC, FortiEMS and FortiNAC
• Able to write and maintain network documentation
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, and network security principles
• A self‑starter able to work independently but also being a valued part of a multinational team
