Role purpose

As a National Account Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing relationships with key multiple retailers and delivering the commercial plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and account management, a deep understanding of the Irish retail landscape, and a passion for building and maintaining strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Sales. The role also offers the opportunity to work on cross functional team projects.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead the development weekly, monthly, quarterly action plans and category plans for customers that are in line with the annual account plan and the overall company strategic plan.
  • Key responsibility for the sales performance across Brand and Own Brand in your key account.
  • Create (with Brand Teams) the strategic promotional planning cycles internally for your assigned Accounts, providing ideas & insight to deliver sales & market share growth.
  • Managing and developing great high level customer relationships & networks, built on integrity, trust and respect, networking across all functions.
  • Deliver the launch of new products with customers, e.g., selling in the new product, agreeing commercials, providing samples etc.
  • Own an accurate sales forecasts, working closely with the demand planning and production teams.
  • Develop and negotiate annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) and Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with key retail and convenience customers.
  • Key stakeholder in the development and training of the commercial graduates and junior team members.
  • Be a leader within the team to support and develop key members to grow and development.
Qualifications, Competencies & Requirements
  • 4-5 years Sales and Customer Management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is a bonus).
  • Excellent numerical and organisational skills.
  • Clear communicator with strong persuasive and presentation capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Resilience & able to work on their own initiative.
  • Full clean driving license.
