Qualifications

The Role

As a Microbiology Analyst II at CLS, you will be an integral part of our microbiology team, supporting high-quality testing and laboratory operations in line with GMP and ISO17025 standards. You will work under the direction of the Microbiology Lab Supervisor, performing a range of microbiological tests and supporting validation activities while maintaining the highest standards in documentation and compliance. This is a hands‑on, entry‑level position ideal for individuals passionate about laboratory science and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform microbiological testing including PET and Endotoxin testing.
  • Log and manage samples using the LIMS system.
  • Enter test results accurately into LIMS and ensure timely reporting.
  • Maintain laboratory documentation according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Assist in investigations of out‑of‑specification results and non‑conformances.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of the laboratory Quality System.
  • Participate in stock control, sample labelling, data trending, and document updates.
  • Engage professionally with customers when required.
  • Contribute to validation activities such as BI testing and cleaning verification.
  • Support Lean Laboratory initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

You are an experienced QC Microbiology Analyst. You’re a strong team player with excellent organisational and documentation skills. You take pride in your accuracy, professionalism, and commitment to quality, and are eager to grow within a laboratory setting.

Where You Come From
  • You hold a 3rd level qualification in Microbiology or a related discipline.
  • You have over 2 years of experience working in a microbiology or laboratory environment.
  • You are familiar with GMP and FDA regulatory standards, or are keen to develop expertise in this area.
  • You bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a desire to contribute to high standards of lab operation.
