Job Title: Utilities/Mechanical Engineer
Location: Ringaskiddy, Ireland

About the Role
We are seeking a Utilities/Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team on a contract basis. This role will focus on supporting capital projects, operations, and engineering functions within designated production areas.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to project completion, manage your time effectively, and develop plans for short-term work activities.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Team Leader to ensure safety and quality across operations and engineering activities.
  • Develop technical and operational standards and provide technical support to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
  • Build productive relationships with process equipment and technology suppliers.
  • Establish robust processes and systems to maximize equipment uptime and manufacturing output.
  • Lead team meetings, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support operational campaign startups.
  • Continuously optimize plant reliability and minimize lifecycle costs.
  • Conduct RFT Method 1 investigations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications
Must-Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in cGMP industrial settings.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer focus, and experience managing budgets and cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Familiarity with site operations.
