We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dublin. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, ensuring high-quality mechanical design solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed mechanical designs, with a focus on HVAC systems, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
• Prepare specifications for piping systems, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
• Design and specify cooling systems for various applications, optimizing performance and energy efficiency.
• Oversee the design and specification of mechanical services, including but not limited to ventilation, heating, and plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and contractors, to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Conduct site visits to review installations and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to implement best practices in design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Up to 10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong focus on building services.
• Demonstrated expertise in HVAC system design and operation.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems and materials specification.
• Experience designing and specifying cooling systems, including chillers, heat exchangers, and other associated equipment.
• Proficiency in specifying mechanical services for diverse applications.
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of relevant industry standards and building codes.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
