Manufacturing Engineer

Co. Louth

Salary depending on experience

An excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in County Louth. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will drive process improvement project across the site liaising closely with all manufacturing departments.

The role

  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes, reducing waste and improving efficiency across the factory
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of new engineering changes.
  • Liaise with supply chain, production, quality, supply chain and the design engineering team to ensure that the manufacturing engineering function is supporting the development of new products.
  • Design for manufacturing, Rapid proto-typing, Process simulation line balancing and project management.
  • Utilise problem solving techniques using the 9 Step Problem, Solving A3 technique to resolve daily Takt and Quality issues.

What youll need

  • Degree in an engineering related subject
  • 3 yearsexperience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Ideally steel manufacturing
  • Experience working on lean/ continuous improvement projects
  • Experience using Cad or similar
