Overview

Almac Group – Arran Chemical Company, Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland. Location: Athlone.


Role: Maintenance Engineer. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with core hours 10:00–16:00. Salary: Competitive.



Responsibilities

The role involves working within the Engineering Department to drive the performance of the new and existing equipment by ensuring effective preventative maintenance plans, policies and procedures are in place. The role will also drive improvement projects at the site through use and analysis of CMMS to ensure the department manages the budget and delivers value without compromising safety or quality.



Qualifications and requirements


  • Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland or possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full-time, permanent employment in the Republic of Ireland.

  • Leaving Certificate with Higher Diploma in a relevant discipline (or equivalent); reliability and/or maintenance experience within a process environment; experience of best practices in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, RCM or FMECA.

  • Experience in the use of computerised maintenance management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Desirable: a Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (or equivalent); Green Belt (Lean); significant CMMS experience with scheduling and analysis tools; experience within a highly regulated chemical process environment; experience with regulatory bodies; experience in financial management, budgeting and identifying cost-saving opportunities; ability to read and understand technical documentation for equipment (e.g., mechanical and electrical drawings).
