The IT Strategic Partner and Vendor Management team is responsible for leading the development of new and governance and management of existing CTTO frameworks. In addition, the team owns Strategic Partner Relationships across our complex technology and transformation delivery programmes.

The work of our IT Strategic Partner and Vendor Management team is wide‑ranging, covering the design, development and management of partner governance, processes, and reporting. We take a proactive approach to partner engagement aimed at building and sustaining strategic partnerships which enable the delivery of the systems, tools and standards required to operate the power system of the future.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an IT Strategic Partner Relationship & Delivery Manager to join the Strategic Partner and Vendor Management team.

The IT Strategic Partner Relationship & Delivery Manager will support the Head of Strategic Partner and Vendor Management in owning the partner relationship through robust monitoring and control across multiple partners, portfolios and contracts. The role will require driving outcomes and value across new and existing multiple strategic partner portfolios and contracts. This role is a key enabler in driving our multiyear plan for technology implementation and transformation across our Operations, Markets, Offshore and Digital Transformation programmes of work.

This senior role is pivotal in managing the performance of strategic partnerships with major global technology OEMs and consultancy firms. These partners are integral to delivering large‑scale, multi‑year transformation programmes across operations, markets, offshore development, and digital platforms. The role also demands oversight of partner performance across complex portfolios and contracts which underpin national infrastructure and energy transition goals.

About You
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field – Business Administration, Legal, Programme Management or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8 plus years’ experience in implementing and leading teams in day‑to‑day management of strategic partner relationships, multidisciplinary teams to optimise partner performance and providing a holistic view of partners internally.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing multi‑year strategic partnerships on large‑scale technology or transformation procurement programmes, with a strong track record of successful partner performance, collaboration and delivery.
  • Experience in designing and implementing governance, compliance and value delivery with strategic partners based on data‑driven insights, metrics and KPIs across a complex portfolio of strategic partners and contracts.
  • Deep understanding of governance, compliance, partner and supply chain risk management with expertise in European OJEU and public procurement methodologies and regulations, and proficiency with partner management tools and software.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build, lead and develop high‑performing, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional partner and stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation and externally.
  • Knowledge of energy systems, markets, or experience in regulated, public sector or government environments is advantageous.
  • A passion for transformation, continuous improvement, and a strong customer focus.
