Our Story
Unum Technology Centre in Carlow serves as a strategic software development and IT services centre supporting Unum, a leading provider of income protection in the US. Our team of IT professionals build solutions and critical business applications to digitally transform the way we do business.

We are on the lookout for a dynamic IT Delivery Manager to manage a team consisting of talented IT professionals. If you have a strong background in software delivery as an experienced senior/lead within development, project management, business analysis and or test engineering with a passion for people management, we want to hear from you!
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Agile methodologies, possess a robust understanding of the software development lifecycle, and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. You should excel in stakeholder management, be a proactive problem solver and be adept at removing obstacles that impact team performance.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage an agile delivery team focused on enterprise integration, ECRM platforms, and MuleSoft-based solutions.
  • Foster a ‘can-do’ culture to drive team effectiveness.
  • Own project planning, delivery, and execution with high quality and transparency.
  • Provide scrum leadership for the team.
  • Act as a leader, mentor, and facilitator, managing recruitment and career development.
  • Oversee all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on business requirements.
  • Implement and manage practices to streamline development and deployment processes.

What you offer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases, web services, and software testing.
