Job description

Parkmore Environmental Services Ltd is looking to recruit aHydrogeologist or Water Resources Engineer to join our expanding team and assist in the delivery of a range of groundwater and surface water related projects.

These include groundwater supply, development and assessment projects; groundwater water well assessment and rehabilitation works; preparation of environmental impact assessment reports; preparation of discharge license applications amongst others.

The successful applicant should have the following:

  • An undergraduate degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or Engineering. A Masters in Hydrogeology or Similar is desirable. 1 to 5 years post graduate experience is preferable
  • A full clean Irish driving license is essential, as some of the time will be spent working in the field.
  • The applicant should have excellent communication skills, good reporting writing skills; knowledge of GIS is desirable but not essential as on the job training will be provided.

Your role will depend on experience, and will involve preparation of desktop studies; supervision and direction of field works; data management and reporting. It will suit a candidate who likes to strike a balance between the office and working outdoors.

Parkmore Environmental Services is located in Shanagolden, Co. Limerick, where the position will be based, however a hybrid remote/office working can be facilitated depending on experience. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your skills on a wide variety of projects. A competitive salary is on offer depending on experience.
