About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our workplace complies with all health and safety regulations and that our employees work in a safe and healthy environment. The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Mallow, Co. Cork and will be required on occasion to travel to branch offices across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK for training and client meetings. A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Review regular risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents and training.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Stay up to date with the latest health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Liaise with clients and represent the company in meetings.
  • Prepare tender documents for HSQE segment of submittal.
  • Provide support and advice to EPS on aspects of strategy and implementation of health and safety policy.
  • Collaborate to develop company Health and Safety strategy.

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role.
  • In‑depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and competence in report writing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
  • Full Irish Driving Licence.
