Job description

Are you passionate about HR and ready to take the next step in your career? A fast-growing seafood production company is seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Generalist to join its dynamic team, based in either Kinsale Road or Bantry, Cork.

As part of a high-performing HR function, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily HR operations and recruitment processes while helping drive best-in-class employee experiences across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations

  • Manage HR inboxes and respond to employee queries, escalating where necessary.

  • Maintain up-to-date personnel files in compliance with GDPR.

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Maintain and update HR systems and databases.

  • Deliver comprehensive staff induction programmes both remotely and in-person.

  • Conduct regular audits on HR systems to ensure compliance.

  • Monitor and manage absence and sick leave processes.

  • Support line managers and new hires throughout the probation process.

  • Assist with the annual performance management cycle.

Recruitment

  • Provide excellent support to hiring managers and candidates.

  • Draft and post engaging job descriptions on various platforms.

  • Screen CVs and job applications to shortlist suitable candidates.

  • Coordinate and conduct interviews (phone, virtual, or in-person).

What We’re Looking For:
  • 2–3 years of experience in a HR role.

  • Proven ability to manage high-volume administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
