Hotel Sales Executive Opportunity at the 4* Court Yard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The Court Yard Hotel is part of the Moriarty Group, an Irish owned company involved in both the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company owns three SuperValu stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels, the Courtyard Hotel in Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The company currently employs 550 staff.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Hotel Sales Executive to join our team in the Court Yard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. Role and focus

The Hotel Sales Executive will be responsible for maximising all sales and revenue opportunities, developing new and strengthening existing business with emphasis on growing the hotel’s wedding, corporate and events market share. A secondary focus is growing the local leisure sector for food, beverage and other leisure-based offerings. The role will work in conjunction with the hotel’s marketing and revenue teams to achieve hotel budgets in their department.

The Role
This is a full-time position averaging 42.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7. While the role will predominantly be Monday to Friday, weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Main Duties
  • Follow up calls on all sales leads, and pass enquiries to other sales personnel/management in the hotel where appropriate.
  • Schedule and carry out property site visits with current and prospective clients, as appropriate.
  • Monitor service quality via client feedback (positive and constructive) and communicate to the operations team.
  • Compile weekly/monthly sales reports and a weekly sales activity report for the Hotel Operations Director & Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity to maintain competitiveness and provide feedback.
  • Plan and organise FAM trips, site inspections and sales promotions, represent the hotel at promotions, trade exhibitions, seminars and workshops, and follow up leads as required.
  • Attend events held in the hotel and off-site when required.
  • Maintain regular contact with local networking groups and trade bodies.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to explore local marketing opportunities in line with the Sales & Marketing plan.
  • Plan and execute database marketing targeting markets including mail shots and ezines in association with the marketing department and revenue manager.
  • Deal with all clients by telephone and email, respond to requests and sales leads promptly, and endeavour to convert enquiries to sales.
  • Ensure all sales administrative work is complete, including follow-up and research calls.
  • Compile, implement and proactively manage the hotel’s annual sales activity plan.
  • Maximise the hotel’s exposure within the market and maintain the integrity of the group at all times.
