Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic finance leader and operational driver to join our executive team. This role goes far beyond traditional finance – you'll be our Dublin office leader, driving operational excellence, and partnering with the CEO to scale our global impact.

As Head of Finance & Administration, you'll combine financial expertise with hands-on leadership to build systems, lead people, and ensure flawless delivery to our pharma and biotech clients worldwide. Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategic Partnership
    • Partner with the CEO as a key member of the executive team
    • Lead and inspire our Dublin office, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
    • Drive strategic decision-making through financial insights and operational expertise
    • Present confidently to board, investors, and key stakeholders
  • Administration & Office Management
    • Oversee all administrative functions including office operations, facilities management, and vendor relationships
    • Manage IT systems, procurement processes, and contract administration
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and governance frameworks
    • Coordinate legal and regulatory matters with external advisors
    • Streamline administrative processes to support business growth and efficiency
  • Finance Leadership & Control
    • Establish and lead a robust financial control environment
    • Deliver finance operations (payroll, AR/AP, cash flow, management accounts)
    • Deliver timely and insightful reporting for leadership, board, and investors
    • Manage relationships with auditors and advisors
  • Strategic Finance & Fundraising
    • Develop financial models and forecasts to support growth and investment
    • Partner with CEO/board on growth and fundraising activities (research grants, investor materials, data rooms and reporting)
    • Provide clear, actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making
  • Operations & Project Delivery
    • Drive operational excellence across client projects, ensuring delivery on time and to the highest standard
    • Implement scalable processes, systems, and reporting frameworks
    • Resolve operational challenges that affect growth or client satisfaction
  • People & Administration
    • Lead the Dublin office, building a collaborative and high-performance culture
    • Oversee HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle management
    • Contribute to people strategy, including recruitment, onboarding, and development programs
    • Manage employee relations, performance management processes, and policy implementation
    • Foster cross-functional collaboration across product, research, and commercial teams
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), ideally with Big 4 training
    • 3–5+ years PQE in a senior finance role (startup, scale-up, or high-growth company)
    • Proven ability to manage finance end-to-end
    • Proven track record of leading teams and driving organizational change
    • Experience scaling operations in a fast-growth environment
    • Experience managing administrative functions and office operations
    • Knowledge of HR processes, employment law, and compliance requirements
    • Strong operational and project management experience
    • Excellent communication and board-level presentation skills
    • Strong executive presence with entrepreneurial mindset
    • Fundraising, grants or investor relations experience
    • People management or office leadership exposure
    • SaaS, digital health, or pharma/biotech background
    • Experience with modern finance systems and SaaS KPIs
    • Background in office management or facilities coordination
