Job description

We are seeking an experienced Group Security Manager to join our team, working four nights a week on the door across our venues while also overseeing rostering, recruitment, and training for our security staff.

About The Role

The successful candidate will take a hands‑on approach to venue security, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will lead the recruitment and development of a high‑performing security team, manage weekly rosters, and uphold best‑practice standards across multiple late‑night venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work 5 days per week on‑site across our high‑volume venues: 4 nights a week on the door and 1 admin day
  • Oversee all security rostering and scheduling
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of security personnel
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, compliance, and customer service
  • Liaise with venue management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
  • Drive a positive, safety‑focused culture within the security team
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in high‑volume, late‑night venues is essential
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead a security team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Valid PSA licence and all required certifications
  • A proactive, hands‑on leadership style with excellent problem‑solving abilities
