Kitchen Prep/Hot Food

Kitchen preparation is an integral part of our service. During your working day, your job will be to provide healthy, delicious lunches to school children nationwide. Kitchen Prep/Hot Food general operatives must be able to read and follow lunch orders, making each lunch with great care.

Activities
  • Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
  • Prepare meals according to the specifications of each individual order.
  • Responsible for the complete sanitation and the proper use of chemicals and their safety.
  • Follow work and cleaning schedule.
  • Maintain clean and sanitised work areas, sinks, and staff facilities.
  • Maintain high quality standards to that of company policy.
  • Maintain temperature records.
  • Maintain cleaning records.
  • Maintain personal hygiene.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
Pickers

Pickers are an integral part of our service. During your working day, your job will be to pick food for school children nationwide. Lunch pickers must be able to read and follow lunch orders, picking each lunch item with great care.

Activities
  • Pick correct hot meals, label the meal and place in the box according to the specifications of each individual order.
  • Follow work and cleaning schedule.
  • Maintain clean and sanitised work areas.
  • Maintain high quality standards to that of company policy.
  • Maintain personal hygiene.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
Auxiliary staff:

Auxiliary staff are the back bone of our company. They ensure the hot food makers and pickers have all the necessary supplies and equipment to carry out their roles. This is a very dynamic role ranging from decanting to moving boxes.

  • May require fork lift driving (not essential)
Fridge/Loading Staff:

The fridge and loading team are the final cog in the wheel of the process. They ensure that every box is scanned and loaded onto each van correctly ready for delivery.

Activities
  • Scanning boxes barcodes
  • Placing ice packs into boxes
  • Putting lids on boxes
  • Loading boxes in correct order into delivery vans
  • Moving vans around the facility (Driver license needed for this)

Our operational hours are closely aligned with primary schools. As a result, when schools are closed, our factory takes a break as well. We pride ourselves on offering our staff consistent pay throughout the academic year, ensuring financial stability.

Expected hours: 40 per week
