The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels, is recruiting for a full time General Operative (Maintenance) to join our professional and friendly Facilities Team.

Centrally located in Dublin within easy reach of public transport, this role will offer you the opportunity to work in a beautiful hotel where the highest of standards are in place and where you have all the tools you need to do your job. Working alongside an experienced team, you will be offered plenty of training. This is a really rewarding role on a team where you can be assured of a warm welcome!

Responsibilities
  • Carry out repairs and installations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Report to maintenance manager or supervisor if stock levels are low for all the items required to complete tasks.
  • Assist all departments with regard to maintenance issues, especially housekeeping, reception and food production areas to ensure the timely completion of work and to promote a good working relationship with all concerned.
  • Maintain records of completed repairs and installations for compliance and future reference.
  • Keep all maintenance areas, workshops, plant rooms, maintenance offices clean and tidy at all times, and ensure waste bins are emptied regularly.
  • Respond accordingly to maintenance requests from guests or other departments to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
  • Carry car park duties as per the daily schedules set out by the Maintenance Manager and ensure that all waste areas are kept clean and tidy and that waste streams are not being contaminated.
  • Cooperation to any colleague requiring assistance in a prompt caring and helpful manner and to be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business and guests needs.
