Financial Planning & Analysis / Cost Management Associate
12-month Fixed-term Contract

Location: Dublin, Cork or Galway based (50% hybrid working)

We’re looking for a talented FP&A / Cost Management Associate to join our Finance team at Aviva Ireland General Insurance on a 12-month Fixed-term Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, and cost optimisation, helping us deliver accurate insights that shape strategic decisions. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support development of annual business plans and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts, variance analysis, and performance insights.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly management reports for senior leadership and board.
  • Partner with the business to drive cost optimisation and budget control.
  • Provide strong challenge and support to stakeholders, ensuring accountability for performance.
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel / PowerPoint skills (TM1 or similar tools an advantage).
  • Knowledge of cost accounting fundamentals and financial concepts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with IFRS 17 and general insurance industry metrics.
