What’s the role?

This opportunity is a broad ranging finance role that offers exposure to Irish and US accounting standards. The ideal candidate will take satisfaction in taking processes from start to finish. The role offers exposure to high level management, who make decisions locally and quickly.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Deliver the Monthly Management Information and critical review of same before presentation to Senior Management Team, ensuring that monthly, annual reporting and compliance deadlines are met
  • Prepare of the Annual Statutory Financial Statements (Individual and Consolidated) and dealing with auditor queries for all companies within the Bloomberg Data Management Services Group, with experience of FRS102 and US GAAP
  • Manage all aspects of Irish company tax and legal compliance – VAT / PAYE / Intrastat returns, Corporation tax payments and returns: Knowledge of UK , US and Singapore tax and legal an advantage but not required
  • Oversight and direction of standard Finance processes such as procurement, invoicing, supplier payments, billing and payroll, identifying and implementing changes to achieve efficiencies and to fit with business requirements
  • Manage and motivate a team member in Dublin, delegating as appropriate and ensuring the team member is performing to the best of their abilities
  • Be responsible for sales projections and revenue forecasting, as well as working with Company systems to enhance reporting and insights
  • Communicate, and work with, a wide range of team members across all departments and levels
  • Actively participate in senior management meetings, providing accurate, adequate and clearly-defined financial information to facilitate sound decision making
  • Deliver and prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts
  • Be involved in other operational ad-hoc projects, as required
You'll need to have:
  • A qualified member of one of the accounting bodies (ACA/FCA, ACCA or equivalent foreign qualification)
  • 5 year plus experience in industry based accounting role, preferably software industry
  • Proven abilities in delivering management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to make sound, commercially aware decisions
  • Good work ethic with the ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work on your own and use initiative when required
  • An exacting approach backed up by consistent attention to detail
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of working with accounting software, experience with SAP and AO SAP reporting is an advantage
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in standard financial applications (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
