This role involves month-end closing, preparing financial reports, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities. Job description

Nixon McQuadeare currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant on behalf of a leading commercial business based in the UK & Ireland.

The Financial Accountant will support the Financial Controller and play a key role working across multiple entities in different jurisdictions.

The Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with and report month-end close
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and business reports to senior management.
  • Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities of the division.
  • Assist with the year-end external audit and taxation process
  • Cost management and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Monitoring and review of monthly financial controls.
  • Production of rolling forecasts and annual budget for presentation to senior management.

The Person:

  • 2/3 years post Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA);
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • High level of numeracy and attention to detail.
